Dental Bridges in Vero Beach, FL

The Dental Bridge Procedure

Smiling is a natural part of life that makes every situation more enjoyable. However, if you are missing one or more teeth, smiling with confidence is a constant challenge. Missing teeth not only affects the appearance of your smile, but can decrease the functionality of your existing teeth, make chewing more difficult, and even impede your speech. If you are looking for a professional dental team to help restore your smile to its natural brilliance, then Cromer & Cairns Dental is the perfect place to start. We are dedicated to helping you fill in the gaps left by missing teeth with restorative dental bridges.

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is a device that fills the space left behind by a missing tooth with a natural-looking replacement tooth. The device consists of an artificial tooth that is sandwiched between two dental crowns.

How does a dental bridge procedure work?

At your appointment, Dr. Cromer will prepare and shape the teeth on either side of the gap to hold the crown in place, and then take an impression or image of the area. Cromer & Cairns Dental will send the impression or image off to a lab so a technician can construct a custom device. In the meantime, the dentist will install temporary crowns to protect your prepared teeth. When the dental bridge is finished, Dr. Cromer will fit, adjust, and cement the bridge onto the prepared teeth.
Dental bridges can help restore your smile, relieve stress on your teeth and jaw joints, and improve your bite. If you are ready to start your transformation, contact the excellent team at Cromer & Cairns Dental today!
